I just support them and want people to know about their campaign. Over the years I have met many of them, and I know that all they did and continue to do was for Michael. These are the fans who were the link between Michael and the wider fan community. These are the fans who Michael trusted to pass on messages from him to the wider fan community. These are the fans who first brought us the exciting news of THE REURN OF THE CURLS. These are the fans who brought us news of Michaels visits to Europe. These are the fans who were instrumental in SONY WARS, organising the demos in London and New York which Michael attended on an open top bus. These are the fans who helped organised THE ROSES OF LOVE project during March /April 2005
These are the last fans Michael had contact with
I care about what these fans are saying.Their campaign is about sharing information from people who talked to Michael every day, who saw the effects of the pressure he was under, yet cos they are “just” fans, were powerless at the time to do anything.
Many people had too much invested in the concerts for Michael to pull out or postone.
Just look at the meltdown that happened when the opening night was moved from July 8 to July 13
There is also an email from these fans, the fans behind THIS IS NOT IT, which was sent 4 days before June 25, detailing how worried they were about Michael. It was first posted on other forums but removed cos many fans could not or would not see why they were worried.
I know its hard to accept, and that not everyone can understand why they are doing it and are able to to believe what they write. We are all grieving and for many of you , who only knew Michael as the superstar entertainer, I know its hard to accept that the fantasy Michael Jackson, the man onstage in front of thousands was very different to the reality. I know this campaign wont bring back what we have lost but in a way its a way of dealing with the grief, the helplessness, the why didnt I’s. Its focussing the grief and pain and using it for a purpose. We the fans have always believed in Michael, we were there in 93, we were there in 2002, we were there in 2004/2005. The only difference in this campaign is that Michael is not here. We were the ones who along with his family, gave him a purpose to keep fighting in Santa Marie.
