The Ballad Of Cat Ballou



A song from way back in my childhood, which always will remind me of my dad. My dad loved the spaghetti western / cowboy and Indian genre of the 50’s and 60’s. He read the books, listened to the music and spent hours & hours watching the films. This is one of the more child friendly spaghetti westerns that my dad would watch over and over. Whenever I hear this song, it reminds me of my dad and even now I still know all the words and can sing along.

This song makes me sad as it reminds me of my childhood Christmas times. Every year when I was a child at Christmas Midnight Mass, this song was sung by a male choir member, who was not the best singer. Every year, my dad would cringe as the opening music notes were played, as we knew who was getting ready for his big solo number. It was our little family joke, that when Mr W started singing, it was officially the start of Christmas, Santa was on his way & our world was safe & happy & innocent. Now when I hear it, its a reminder of all that I have lost, of how my world has changed from innocent happy children to grown up responsibilities & sadness

So I thought something fun to start the new year, a 30 Day Song Challenge

This is a song which always makes me dance. Back in 2004 I lived in Edinburgh and took street dance classes. The classes were at a dance school in central Edinburgh, similar to Pineapple in London. We took part in the end of year show and we did our routine to this song. There was about 20 dancers in the class and on the night before the show as it was at Christmas, we had a night out. We ended up at a nightclub and just randomly this song was played. Like a scene from a dance movie we all automatically fell into our routine and took over the dancefloor. One of favorite memories from Edinburgh.

yes my views about fans who became active after June 2009 are well known, no they haven’t changed.

yes its well known that I don’t personally support posthumous products or releases, no this has not changed

yes it is well known that I have no time for Taaj , no this has not changed

yes I am a bitch, I am out spoken, yes many people have issues with what I say or do

yes I know I put peoples backs up, yes many who I considered friends I am no longer in contact with

yes I am black listed from major fan sites

I don’t care what is said about me, since 2009 many people have been very vocal about their issues with me, there are tons of stuff written about me.

one thing I don’t do is get personal with people in public. Yes I can be sarcastic, blunt and very outspoken, but at the same time, I do not make peoples personal private information public. If I get into an argument with someone, it will be about that particular Michael Jackson issue. I do not bring personal information about the person I am arguing with into the conversation. I respect peoples privacy and that the fact that they might want not certain private information splashed all over the place.

Unfortunately the same can not be said about other people. I do not understand why when the argument or discussion pertains to something related to Michael Jackson or the fan community, people feel the need to use private personal information about me.

Why fling my personal private life which I do not talk about in public into a discussion which relates to Michael Jackson and the fan community? It is not right and it shows that you really never understood me or valued the friendship we may have had. Its the lowest of the low to use private personal information not related to the original topic just to hurt the other person because you know you can.

yes I had personal issues which compounded my grief for Michael in 2009 and 2010. Those personal issues are ongoing and have hugely effected my personal life, so much so that I had to leave London and move back to Ireland.

Yes in 2009 and 2010 I had huge anger, grief and resentment, dealing with my grief for Michael and trying to cope with what was happening in personal life was just too much for me to deal with. My only outlet then and now is the fan community. That huge, anger, grief and resentment is still there but as the months have gone by I have learnt to hide it better.

Since Michael died, I have basically lost my entire life, everything from my job and flat, to friends, social life and a hell of alot more. I have been under huge stress in my personal life, and yes at times I may not have dealt with it the best way and used the fan community and my grief as an outlet.

So yes call me a bitch, call me self centered, call me whatever you damn well like, cos you know what none of it matters. At the end of the day I can shut my laptop and silence you all.

But what I can not silence or remove is my deep gut wrenching grief for Michael, or the huge monumental changes and loss in  my personal private life.

The Truth About Who Owns Neverland

For those who want to know about Neverland. When you buy a house you borrow money from a bank. You then agree to pay the bank back this money, a certain amount every month for a number of years. This is called a mortgage.

If you do not pay the bank back their money, the bank can force you to sell your house so they get their money back. This is called foreclosure.

In 2008 this is what happened to Michael with Neverland. The mortgage money had not been paid for a long time and the bank decided that the only way they would get their money back was for Michael to sell Neverland.

Michael did not want this to happen. While he did not want to live at Neverland, he did not want to sell it and get rid of it either.

So he did a deal with COLONY CAPITAL and TOM BARRACK. The deal was that COLONY would buy out the mortgage. This meant that the bank got all their money back in one lump sum.

COLONY CAPITAL is an investment company. So instead of the monthly mortgage payments being owed to the bank, they are now owed to COLONY.

As part of the deal with COLONY, Michael retained a majority % of ownership. This meant that he still kept control of Neverland but did not have to worry about the upkeep and maintenance of the property. The loan would be repaid, and Neverland would be safe from foreclosure and Michael would not have to worry that someone would try to take it from him again.
When he died that % became part of Estate, therefore PPB as heirs to Michael’s Estate are part owners just like Michael was

When Michael did deal contents of Neverland i.e. animals, funfair furniture etc. were all moved out and a lot was sold.

The main house where Michael lived  was original house of Sycamore Ranch before he bought it

The Neverland ranch even when Michael lived there was a proper working ranch & nothing has changed since he died

Neverland cannot, but CA state law, be “demolished”. The Estate has the final say and want Michael’s kids to make that decision when 18.

The Williamson Act protects agricultural preserves on a 10 year contract, and saves the landowner from 20-75% on their annual property taxes

“A Williamson Act contract runs with the land and is binding on all successors in interest of the landowner.

Anyone who says that Michael’s children do not own Neverland is lying. Anyone who says that John Branca owns Neverland is lying. John Branca is The Executor of Michael’s Estate. This means that John Branca manages Michael’s Estate, ie Michael’s possessions and money. Neverland is PART of Michael’s Estate, managed by John Branca, on BEHALF of Michael’s heirs who are minors.

Clearing Up Misunderstandings About Michael’s Estate

lets clear up some misunderstandings about Michael’s Estate.

When a person dies, everything they own, money, property, possessions etc is called The Estate of Mr *******. If the person has made a will, they will have named in their will the person or persons they want to look after their estate when they die.

In Michael’s case he named John Branca and John Mcclain to look after his estate. These people are called The Executors Of The Estate.

The Executors Of The Estate are the ones who carry out the instructions in the will. By law before any inheritance is paid out, all debts and money owed by the dead person must be paid from the money the dead person had. This also includes any court cases which are pending or have been brought against the dead person.

This process is called probate. When an Estate is in Probate, no inheritance money can be paid out. This is the stage we are at with Michael. Michael’s heirs, Katherine and the children receive an allowance from The Estate as Michael’s Estate is still in probate. Once all debts, taxes and court cases have been cleared, then Katherine and the children will recieve their full inheritance and the % of money will be donated to charity, as per the instructions in Michael’s will. This is the law

The Executors Of The Estate, John Branca and John Mcclain are in fact minders of Michael’s Estate, looking after things as Michael’s heirs are minors.

Many fans are under the illusion that John Branca and John Mcclain “own” things like ATV catalogue, Michael’s money, etc. This is not true. They just look after things, as per Michael’s request in his will. It is Michael’s children, as heirs to Michael’s Estate who actually own everything.

A little correction. they won’t get the full inheritance after the probate because Michael also set up trusts. Money would go to the trusts. KJ will continue to get whatever is needed for her care. Kids will get income starting at 21, assets starting at 30

The Fake Michael Sightings When Michael Was Alive

(my reply to a post on a forum discussing people who did “fake” Michael sightings, tricking people into thinking they were the real Michael when Michael was alive) 
Unfortunately stuff like this was very common. People would FAKE “Michael appearances” all the time, especially between 2000 and 2009. For us, the active fan community Michael had never disappeared, we always knew where he was, what he was doing, he kept in constant contact with the fan community and regularly met fans all over the world. But to the general public he was a mystery, his whereabouts unknown, so many would stage these elaborate fake sightings.

There was

one in Canada, “Michael and a mystery girlfriend” FAKE….

one in New York, “Michael shopping in Barnes & Noble” FAKE

one in South of England “Michael gives secret concert performance” Navi aided by “bodyguard” Matt Fiddes

Almost once a month “fake” sightings would pop up on fansites and forums. It was something we expected.

You have to remember that times were very different before 2009. Other than the active fan community online, no one cared about Michael the person. Michael Jackson the person, with straight hair and regular clothes was associated with the 1993 allegations and Santa Maria trial. If Michael the person, who had straight hair, wearing regular clothes was in London, doing regular stuff like visiting his friends, going to dinner etc only the hard core fans, maximum 50 people would be there, there would be no huge media scrum, no photos in the papers, etc.

On the other hand if “Michael Jackson” (Navi hired by SONY) with long curly hair , wearing a well known stage costume went shopping in HMV in Oxford Street at 3pm on a Friday afternoon, then there would be cameras & photographers (also hired by SONY) then there would be general public going crazy, ringing their friends, telling them “omg dude get down here Michael Jackson is in HMV”, and huge crowds, people being held back by security , and so much more.

(above is what happened on the launch day of Thriller 25 in February 2008, I was there)

another example, also from THRILLER 25 promo, was Navi doing a flashmob in Leicester Square. This was even more insane. Again he was dressed in a very recognizable stage costume with long curly hair. This got even more crazy. He did a walkabout first, and gathered a huge crowd, with people screaming Michael Michael, pushing to get to him, on their phones telling their friends. Us hardcore fans knew it was Navi, in fact word had gone round the fan community beforehand with the time and place. We were all on the edge of the crowd , laughing at everyone making a fool of themselves. What made it even more ridiculous was the fact that the REAL Michael, in regular clothes and straight hair was on the front of the evening paper, having been papped at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas. People were walking around, carrying the evening paper with a photo of the REAL Michael, screaming Michael at Navi!!

Ask yourselves honestly, if you were not on the fan sites and did not see regular photos of Michael out and about with straight hair and regular clothes, did not know about Navi, if you had been in HMV and suddenly saw this, would YOU have thought it was Michael too???

That’s just the way it was, something we dealt with on a daily basis, the sad fact that only the hardcore fans on the fansites actually knew what Michael looked like between 2006 and the press conference in 2009. Why do you think that all the rumours about it not being the real Michael at the press conference started?? It was because so many fans dropped him when the allegations happened. For over 20 years they had this image of their Michael, with a high pitched voice and curly hair, yet in 2009, they were confronted with a man they did not recognise, who had straight hair and a deeper voice.
